What if?

What if?

If I had not managed to be a preschool teacher, perhaps I would have become a flight attendant. Before I decided to study preschool, I graduated in tourism, I valued it as a second job option because I liked it too. I would have liked to dedicate myself to that as well; however, the first career choice I wanted was working with children, and I'm sure I would have regretted not achieving the dream of becoming a teacher. Since I was six years old, I played to be a teacher and I remember when I sat all my dolls and teddy bears on my bed, as if they were my students while I spent hours teaching them, imitating my mother who was an English teacher or my kindergarten teacher, I even scratched the walls with colored chalk, as if they were blackboards. Today, if I had not been able to study preschool education, it would have hurt me, because since I was a little girl, I was clear about it, when some relatives asked me: What would you like to study when you grow up Paula? and I answered with confidence:I want to be a preschool teacher”. I would have felt very sad if I hadn't studied preschool. Nowadays, I give infinite thanks to God for allowing me to make one of my dreams come true. I feel very happy and fulfilled to be able to work on what I enjoy most. I also thank my parents who supported me to achieve it when they told me many years ago when I was going to study at the University: “Study what made you happy” and I did it.
