My Ideal Movie Endings…

Movie The Boy in Striped Pajamas...

I love the movie The Boy in the Striped Pajamas for the message it leaves, even though the ending is very sad. It takes place in one of humanity's cruelest and most shameful moments, the Holocaust carried out during World War II. Episode criticized and repudiated, but that should not be forgotten because, as they say, history helps us to learn and not repeat mistakes.

This film focuses on the theme of the Nazi Holocaust, through the friendship between the son of a Nazi commander and a Jewish boy, through the barbed wire of the Auschiwitz concentration camp.

The next day Bruno disguises himself in striped pajamas and crosses the fence: Bruno and Shmuel are finally together. The group is taken to a gas chamber, where Bruno and Shmuel die together without suspecting that the place was not a shelter for rain, as Bruno had thought. I would have preferred that the end of this story was that both children could enjoy a friendship outside of there, playing as children do without ties or division of social classes.

"The child in striped pajamas" teaches us the value of looking inward in the search for meaning and not to lose faith in humanity because even in the most difficult circumstances it is possible to find a friendly shoulder.

Movie Life is Beautiful...

It is a dramatic story of an Italian-Jewish family separated by anti-Semitism and Nazism that occurs at the time of the Second World War based on a perspective of love and sacrifice for life.

In this film, above all, the goodness, faith, and hope stand out, the illusion and the good humor with which the protagonist tries to rescue the sequels, which could be left because of the Second World War, to his young son.

The father does not let his child see him devastated, sad or unwilling to live. Life is Beautiful shows us that happiness, sometimes, is in our way of looking at life, of accepting and facing adversities.

Despite being surrounded by horror, sadness and death, Giosué  (The son) ends up believing everything thanks to the convincing story told by his father and his own innocence, however, I would have preferred the end to be less sad because the father of the child died, love for his son triumphs over horror and manages to save him,  but not before paying the price of giving everything to keep the love of his life breathing and free from horror.
